Cherry Shrub Sour
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz cherry shrub
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice (optional, for extra brightness)

- ½ oz simple syrup (optional, to adjust sweetness)

- 1 egg white (optional, for creamy texture and foam)
INSTRUCTIONS
Dry Shake (if using egg white): Combine all ingredients except ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create that classic frothy texture.
Add Ice and Shake Again: Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well-chilled — about 10–15 seconds.
Strain and Serve: Strain into a chilled coupe glass. For a more rustic presentation, serve over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
Garnish: Add a few drops of bitters on top of the foam and swirl with a toothpick for a beautiful aromatic design. Alternatively, garnish with a cherry on a cocktail pick.

NOTES
The Cherry Shrub Sour strikes a perfect balance between sweet, tart, and tangy. The vinegar from the shrub gives the cocktail a subtle edge that brightens the bourbon’s caramel notes. The egg white softens everything with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
